Team?based learning in nursing education: A scoping review

Aims and objectives To explore the use student outcomes of Team-Based Learning in nursing education. Background is a highly structured, evidence-based, student-centred learning strategy that enhances engagement facilitates deep variety disciplines including nursing. However, breadth application education relevant are not currently well understood. Design A scoping review international, peer-reviewed research studies was undertaken according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses extension reviews. Methods The following databases were searched on 7 May 2020: Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature, MEDLINE Complete, PsycINFO Education Resources Information Center. Search terms related nursing, Learning. Original studies, published English, reporting from programmes included. Results Of 1081 potentially citations, 41 undergraduate (n = 29), postgraduate 4) hospital 8) settings most commonly reported knowledge or academic performance 21); experience, satisfaction perceptions 20); with behaviours attitudes towards 12); effect teamwork, team collective efficacy 6).
